Doula Service Includes:
- Free Consultation
- Two private prenatal appointments in your home
- Birth plan preparation
- Identification and practice of comfort measures
- Physical and emotional support throughout labor
- Supporting parents as advocates
- Assistance in creating a safe environment in which to labor
- Assistance to father/coach in providing support for the laboring mother
- Breastfeeding assistance
- In-home postpartum visit
- Childbirth, Breastfeeding and Community Information & referral
Childbirth Education Series: Spring Class Series TBD
- Offering holistic childbirth education classes that focus
on nurturing, honoring and celebrating pregnancy and birth!
- Topics of discussion will include:
-Nutrition and health in pregnancy/how to grow a healthy baby
-The journey of birth and birthing in awareness
-Coping mechanisms
-understanding interventions and options in childbirth
-creating a supportive birth environment
-holistic alternatives to support pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period
-effective communication among care providers and medical staff
-Breastfeeding
-Postpartum expectations
-Baby Care
-Preparation for home, hospital or birth center birth
